Joi, Berna, Jo among 100th MC grads

Two junior UP ISSI staff and one from its major partner institution SERDEF graduated among 70 others from the Institute’s flagship program, the Managers Course (MC). UP ISSI’s Joi Mamaril and Berna Escoto and Jo Santos of SERDEF joined some 70 graduates who took their oaths as new MC alumni in a closing ceremony following the Competitive Entrepreneurial Leadership Conference held last August 25.
“My experience with the 100th Managers Course was very positive,” Joi said in an interview. “I feel I learned a great deal about management functions, tools and techniques. In a way, the course has prepared me for further hands-on experience as an Account Manager of the Training and Entrepreneurship Education Department of UP ISSI. For my classmates and myself, getting the 100th MC certificate is not a walk in the park, but I think we did an amazing job enjoying every step of it!”
Meanwhile, Berna has this to say when asked about her experience in taking MC for 20 Saturdays: "What I appreciated about the MC was that I got to be exposed to the ideas and practices of people from different areas and ages, both from the resource persons and the participants. I was able to interact with various personalities, given different circumstances. I also gained a new set of friends, which I am grateful for. The overall experience was very enriching for me."
A former ISSI staff, Joyce Alegre, also graduated from the 100th MC.
